Under the powerful assistance of various transportation vehicles, humans are more able to travel to faraway places.Whenever there is a necessity to travel any distance, a number of choices are available. Without doubt, the invention of these modes of transport has brought about great changes to human life. Among those popular vehicles, airplanes have been the most influential.

The world has been made smaller by airplanes. Compared with other vehicles, airplanes are able to cover greater distances in less time. Ancient people may have had to consume several days or even weeks traveling by slower means before arriving at a faraway destination. As a result, our ancestors had very few opportunities to travel to different parts of their country, and world travel was unthinkable. Not everyone was as fortunate as the great traveler Marco Polo.Today, passengers can visit several distant cities within a single day. An increasing number of modern citizens have realized dreams to travel around the globe, and have done so by airplane.

Furthermore, much time is saved by taking an airplane flight, especially when conducting business. For instance, it only takes three or four hours to travel from Beijing to the southern part of China by air, whereas over one day is required to do the same by train. Suppose a businessman has to attend meetings being held in two cities which are far away from each other over a short period of time; the best way is to travel by airplane. Otherwise, he might be unable to make both meetings.

In addition, superior amenities make an airplane journey safer and more comfortable. Supported by advanced technology and comprehensive security systems, airplanes are commonly recognized as the safest means of transportation. Statistics indicate that airplanes have the lowest chances of traffic accidents. Quality of service is also high since all crew members

have undergone strict training before going on duty. The smiling faces of flight attendants make the passengers feel at home. During the journey, a variety of drinks and snack foods are served, and on long flights meals are provided. Sometimes, the crew may even give each passenger a little souvenir, enhancing passengers' perception of good service.

Thanks to airplanes, passengers can have pleasant airborne traveling experiences. For some, a long-kept dream to fly can come true. Meanwhile, the incredible speed of flying in airplanes has dramatically narrowed the distances between different parts of the world. Compared with other modes of transportation, airplanes have indeed changed people's life to the largest extent.
